JLLB Media Creative Strategy & Business Growth is pleased to announce the extension of the “Labor Law Pilot Program,” a no-cost support initiative run in partnership with the Neighborhood Development Center (NDC), the City of Minneapolis, and research partner Rutgers University. The extension will run through the first semester of 2026.
Originally launched to help small businesses in the Minneapolis region understand labor law obligations and build foundational bookkeeping, payroll and compliance systems, the pilot program has already supported dozens of entrepreneurs.
JLLB Media and Neighborhood Development Center (N.D.C.) join efforts to help expand “Labor Law Pilot Program” Through First Semester 2026 to Support Small Business Compliance and Growth
Through the extended term, JLLB Media and NDC will continue delivering up to 14 hours of personalized service to eligible small businesses — including:
- Financial literacy and bookkeeping setup
- Labor law compliance training, employer rights and responsibilities
- Payroll and record-keeping system setup
- Pre- and post-assessment to track improvement, plus templates and resources for long-term compliance

The program is available at no cost to qualifying small businesses in Minneapolis and surrounding seven-county metro areas, especially those with one to ten employees or planning to hire soon.
