Juan Llerena, President and Founder of JLLB Media, receives a Certificate of Recognition for serving as a volunteer judge at the 2025 Technovation Girls Minnesota Regional Pitch Event — Appapalooza. His contributions helped empower the next generation of female technologists and innovators.

As a judge, Llerena reviewed and provided personalized, thoughtful, and actionable feedback on tech-based projects developed by middle and high school girls. These projects were not only technically impressive but also deeply rooted in solving real-world issues affecting communities today.

“I’m still in awe of the incredible talent, creativity, and brilliance shown by these young changemakers,” said Llerena. “To witness these girls pitch tech-based solutions with such clarity, passion, and purpose was nothing short of inspiring. Their bold ideas reminded me how powerful it is to invest in the next generation of technologists and leaders.”

The event is a key part of Technovation’s global mission to empower girls through technology and entrepreneurship. Appapalooza gives these future leaders a platform to pitch their ideas, sharpen their skills, and gain confidence — all within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

JLLB Media proudly supports initiatives that uplift youth, diversity in tech, and innovation-driven education. Llerena encourages others to get involved as mentors, volunteers, or supporters.

“Thank you to the amazing teams at Code Savvy and Technovation Girls Minnesota for creating such a supportive, empowering space — and for allowing me to be a small part of it,” he added.

Let’s continue to support programs that shape the future — because the future is already being built by these brilliant minds.
